Home network modifications

Soon to be moving to a new region, I took the opportunity to thoroughly review my internal network. Indeed, it had been designed during my studies, and modified afterwards. This architecture had reached its limits, and overlapping between VLANs prevented major modifications. Having outsourced my website, and having decided to do without my Cloud server, and other application servers that I don’t use anymore, I was able to stop my ESX, as well as the Read more…

Implementation of professional security

For several months, with my manager, we have worked a lot on IS security. The company had indeed basic notions of cybersecurity, without falling into non-security either. We had proper password management, a firewall blocking all unauthorized requests, user training from time to time, among other things. With this in mind, I took on the project management

New firewall (perso)

My firewall had become too complicated to administer in order to satisfy the new security policies that I implemented on my personal computer network: flow separation, IPS, anti-virus, etc… So I decided in November-December 2020 to migrate my Gateway to ClearOS, with a classic IPTables firewall, as well as some features to a more advanced firewall. For security reasons, I will not divulge its OS, nor its rules. However, I was able to set up Read more…

New website

Each modification required indeed to connect to the server, and to modify the HTML code by hand. An important decision was therefore made: Completely change the site This idea had been floating around in my head for some time. Done on this day of Tuesday, August 10, day of the production of this new site. Read more…
